tatzelwurm, 2024
This project explores the history of information dissemination, with a particular focus on the spread of rumors.
It focuses on the figure of the Tatzelwurm, a legendary Swiss cryptid whose existence, though unproven, is the subject of much speculation.
This choice of subject highlights a caricatured archetype of the legendary creature, fertile ground for rumors, as was the case with the Tatzelwurm in the 1930s.
A series of short videos was created to illustrate this concept, incorporating various codes and visual registers from ancient and contemporary eras, from wildlife films to cinema posters and found footage. To realize this series, stagings were captured using models, mixing AI-generated and archival images.
