the few photos I have on my computer, 2024
Organized every four years, the Olympic Games require the construction of often ephemeral infrastructures, raising questions about their sustainability.
This project explores the Olympic sites of Athens 2004, now abandoned and guarded to prevent any images being taken. Through the memories of Alexandra Klimis, a Franco-Greek Athenian who was present at the Games, it highlights the contrast between the effervescence of the time and the current state of the sites.
The project questions the impact of major events on the collective memory and the traces they leave on the city.
